Battalion 1944 gets first tournament at Insomnia62

As part of the festivities surrounding the upcoming UK gaming festival, Insomnia62, Battalion 1944 is getting its first competitive tournament. The Blitzkrieg Open Championship LAN Tournament will take place between March 30 and April 2, and players will need to attend the gaming festival if they want to participate. The prize pool is a relatively modest £10K (with half of that going to the winner) but then again these things have to start somewhere and the developers are obviously keen to develop the game as an esport, with more tournaments planned despite the fact that the WW2-themed shooter is still only in early access.
